The Mandalorian: 5 Actors Who Could Play Thrawn

Laurie may not be the first person you think of when you think of villains, but he’s a tremendous actor who has had a diverse history of roles, both good and evil.

If you are looking for a good example of Laurie as the bad guy, I would recommend watching The Night Manager, also starring Tom Hiddleston and Olivia Coleman.

It’s a fantastic example of Laurie playing a character who, while not the most physically intimidating, owns the room in every scene. His politeness juxtaposed with the evil intentions of his characters is a match made in heaven for Thrawn, who embodies sophistication and ruthlessness better than any other Star Wars character.

There’s a reason the Brits make good villains in Hollywood. Thrawn is known for his wits and intelligence and feels like something Laure would be perfect for.
