5. Neo Can't Fly (Yet)
The rest of the final battle sees Neo and Trinity fending off the Analyst's swarm of controlled humans, but first, one of the resistance members asks Neo if he can still fly.
In one of the film's funniest moments, Neo actually attempts to fly, bracing himself to dash up into the sky, only to find himself unable to launch more than a few feet off the ground like your average human, much to everyone's disappointment.
"Yeah, that's not happening," he tells the assembled group, and one gets the sense Lana relished denying audiences the flying Neo action-schlock they so clearly wanted. For now, anyway.
