The Matrix Resurrections: 25 WTF Moments

3. Trinity Can Fly

The Matrix Resurrections
Warner Bros.

The trailers did a great job of hyping up the moment where Trinity and Neo jump off the roof of a skyscraper while being pursued by the swarm, and conventional wisdom dictates that Neo would then rematerialise his ability to fly and transport them to safety.

But in a twist, it turns out that Trinity has developed the power of flight, and she manages to fly them clear just as another rocket-totting chopper shows up to attack.

The film doesn't explicitly elaborate on the implications of Trinity having One-like powers, though the ending seems to suggest that Neo and Trinity are effectively now equals - The Two, maybe? - who will act as benevolent protectors of The Matrix from this point on.

A fitting end for the entire franchise, then, if this does end up being the final film.
