2. It Ends With A TERRIBLE Rage Against The Machine Cover
The film's final scene sees the newly badass Trinity and Neo, now wearing shades and jackets, paying a visit to the Analyst to knock him around a little and assure him they're going to rebuild the Matrix in their own image without resistance.
The pair, now both capable of flying, soar into the air while holding hands in a refreshingly playful ending shot, albeit one accompanied by Brass Against's ear-splittingly awful cover version of Rage Against the Machine's iconic "Wake Up," which of course ended the original.
Using a radically different cover of the first film's credits song perhaps makes sense thematically, but couldn't they have picked one that was actually, you know, good? What a dud way to end the movie, and yet, the credits left one final WTF moment for viewers to sit through...
