The Predator: 14 Easter Eggs & References Explained

9. Sean Keyes

Jake Busey The Predator
Fox

Jake Busey appears briefly in the film as scientist Sean Keyes, who to the casual observer might seem like a totally random, unique character created solely for this new movie.

Franchise fans, however, will appreciate that he's actually the son of FBI Agent Peter Keyes, who attempted to capture the Predator in Predator 2 and got sliced in half for his troubles.

This is an especially neat reference as Gary Busey of course played the previous Keyes, and having his real-life son play his screen son is just perfect. Granted, the new Keyes doesn't seem to have inherited his father's cranky temperament, but perhaps that's part of the joke.
