The Predator: 18 WTF Moments

1. The Predator Killer... Isn't Useful At All

The whole point of the OG Predator's traitorous mission to Earth is to give humanity hope. As established early in the film, Earth's climate problem is turning it into a perfect candidate for the aliens to colonise as well as killing off humanity "within two generations). It's assumed that the "gift" the Predator is bringing is a means to stop the relentless march of climate change.

Except, when we get to the end of the movie, the script seems to have forgotten that and the "gift" turns out to be the Predator Killer - a sort of nano-tech assassin suit that is designed to kill Predators. Makes you wonder why the Predator wasn't wearing it to protect itself in the first place...

Anyway, it sets up a sequel in which McKenna will wear that armour and take the fight to the aliens, but it misses the fact that the Earth is still doomed within a few decades anyway. What a cheerful thought.
