The Predator: 7 Big Questions We’re Left With

5. Did Sean Keyes Survive?

During the first act of the film, the original Predator woke up in the midst of the experiments that Traeger and his men were overseeing. Relying on its instincts, it went into survival mode and disposed of all the immediate threats, brutally killing everyone in sight.

One of those victims was apparently Jake Busey's character, Sean Keyes - who was visibly wounded by the creature. Though it initially looked like he had been slayed, he later reappeared covered in blood and holding his wounded abdomen as he begged Casey to stop the fugitive Predator. He was then never seen or heard from again, leaving audience members to wonder what happened to him afterwards. Did he eventually succumb to his wounds? Was he taken out by Traeger?

The film's ambiguity over his death may have been intentional. After all, he is the son of Predator 2 character, Peter Keyes, so it would have been redundant to bring him in just to have him suffer a similar (if less gruesome) fate to his father. Thus, with the film setting up a potential sequel, there's a strong possibility that he survived and could even play a more significant role going forward.
