The Predator: 7 Big Questions We’re Left With

3. Is Rory The Key To Creating A More Advanced Predator?

The Ultimate Predator's fascination with Rory McKenna suggested that the boy had an important role to play in the creature's hybridisation process. While it never got the chance to put those plans in motion, this certainly leaves the door open for a storyline in a future film.

Rory was, in many ways, the heart of The Predator. Not only was he Quinn's autistic son, he also possessed preternatural abilities that ultimately brought about a lot of the movie's major plot points. As Casey pointed out, some experts believe that people with autism often have gifts and, as a result, could be the next step in human evolution.

This philosophy was backed up by the fact that the Ultimate Predator saw him as the next step in the evolution of his own species. So, if the creature was aware of the fact that even it could be upgraded, then it suggests that we haven't seen the last of these genetically modified hybrids.

However, it seems like the key to creating an even more advanced version of the Predator is Rory. So, if we do get another film, then we should be prepared to see more hunters come for the boy.
