The Predator: Ranking All Of The Alternate Endings

2. The Facehugger Ending

The most promising of the possible endings for the Predator Killer pod was also the simplest and most cost-efficient of the bunch.

According to set reports, the pod was again going to be branded with a Weyland Corp. symbol but this time would open to reveal a no-name character inside the pod, with the breathing apparatus from the Ripley and Newt endings repurposed as a Weyland Corp. machine engineered to specifically house an Alien facehugger.

Not only does this cut the ties with the more convoluted inherent backstory required to explain how either Ripley or Newt got to this time-period, but it also paints the Xenomorph itself as the Predator Killer, intended to be mankind's savior. That is, at the very least, an unexpectedly unique angle that would have pretty effectively set the stage for another attempt at the Alien vs. Predator franchise.

Because while the two existing AVP films are varying degrees of awful, the source material that originally threw the two icons of sci-fi horror together is great and lends itself to a stellar cinematic adaptation, especially in Hollywood's current crossover-heavy climate.
