The Predator: Ranking All Of The Alternate Endings

1. The Dutch Ending

Far and away the best of the potential endings was the one originally featured in Black and Dekker's script, which centered on a different kind of returning character.

Ditching the pod and Predator Killer concepts altogether, this ending instead picked up immediately after Casey, Quinn, and Rory had defeated the upgraded Predator in the climax, with a helicopter descending before them. Onboard the helicopter was to be none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger's Dutch from the original Predator film, who would then invite them all aboard the chopper to come with him.

Not only would this have been a much better fit for the film at large, staying true to its sensibilities and Black's own twisted style of mixing humor and nostalgia, but it would also have left things on a much more enticing note. Setting up a sequel where the heroes of this film get to team up with Arnie in any capacity sounds incredibly interesting.

Sadly, Arnie was having none of it. Though he met with Black about appearing in the film, he ultimately felt the role was too small and essentially told Black to give him a call when he had a bigger role for him in the future.

Which ending do you wish had happened? Let us know down in the comments.
