The Simpsons: 10 Classic Episodes That Could Have Been Movies

9. Treehouse Of Horror V (Season 6, Episode 6)

This one we're not too sure about but we're putting it on the list anyway because of the possibility of greatness should The Simpsons' writers decide to make a Treehouse of Horror movie.

On one hand, the Treehouse of Horror episodes pack a lot of great humour and creativity in only 20 minutes, making them a delight to watch during Halloween. Who doesn't laugh out loud watching Homer go crazy in The Shinning? A full-length movie could potentially ruin that by having too long a runtime, making the entire thing feel stretched out.

On the other hand, the Treehouse of Horror episodes are the one chance The Simpsons have every year to go completely overboard and insane, like giving Bart an evil twin brother and having Homer travel to a dimension where he's in 3D animation. Can you imagine how crazy The Simpsons' writers could get with a Treehouse of Horror movie? It could even be like a Trick 'r Treat (2007) anthology where a number of different horror stories are happening on the same night. Given how gigantic their cast of characters are, this could totally happen.

The best part is that absolutely none of it has to be canon. They can go as balls-to-the-wall crazy as they want and it'd be perfectly fine because it's a Treehouse of Horror movie.
