The Single Biggest Mistake Each MCU Film And TV Show Has Made

19. Avengers: Endgame - Fat Thor

Avengers Endgame is a stunning tour-de-force of blockbuster storytelling that brilliantly wraps up 22 films worth of story with a thrilling, deliciously unpredictable and beautifully emotional three-hour epic that does justice to pretty much all of the MCU's characters. Well, almost all of them.

Perhaps the biggest criticism of Avengers: Endgame since its release has been the movie's comedic depiction of Thor having become an overweight alcoholic due to his guilt over failing to stop Thanos. And you know what? That's completely understandable.

Thor is clearly suffering from PTSD, yet the film basically treats this important issue as a joke, and Thor is the butt of many groan-inducing gags about his size as well.

Disrespecting a really awesome character (the middling quality of his solo films aside) is bad enough, but treating a serious issue with so little respect is even worse. Thor does eventually get some good badass moments in the final act, but the film's depiction of him remains its greatest failure.
