The Single Biggest Mistake Each MCU Film And TV Show Has Made

3. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - The Bloated Runtime

Avengers Endgame Thor

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is just too damn long.

It goes on for nearly three bloody hours for no discernible reason, making this an overlong and frequently boring viewing. What makes it worse is that there was plenty that could've been cut. For example, the pointless subplots involving Riri Williams/Ironheart (Domique Thorne) and Everett K. Ross (Martin Freeman) should've been the first things to go.

It's a shame, as Wakanda Forever does actually have some very strong things in it, such as the great acting and powerful emotional storytelling, as well as the film's beautiful tribute to Chadwick Boseman. Unfortunately though, the terrible pacing - coupled up with a pronounced lack of thrilling action or effective humour to keep viewers entertained - makes it hard to feel any particular warmth towards this sequel. It's hard to imagine many people revisiting it anytime soon.
