The Single Biggest Mistake Every James Bond Film Has Made

11. A View To A Kill: The Total Lack Of Energy

A View to a Kill is arguably the worst James Bond film ever made and there's a very good reason why it's the lowest-rated James Bond film on Rotten Tomatoes.

So, why is it so bad? Because there's pretty much no energy in any of its elements. The only thing which feels like it had any care given to it was Christopher Walken's villain. He's great and Grace Jones is solid as his henchwoman, but everything else is awful.

The plot is very bland and derivative, the action scenes are devoid of imagination or suspense, the main Bond Girl (Tanya Roberts) is excruciatingly awful, Roger Moore is way, way too old to still be playing Bond and yet again, there's a sense that nothing is really being taken seriously. For example, in the opening action scene, a Beach Boys song is played over it. Who actually thought that was a good idea?!

If there's one thing to take away from A View to a Kill, it's that every entry in a major franchise needs to have the same level of care put into it. Otherwise, we might get monstrosities like this.
