The Single Greatest Thing In Each MCU Movie

4. Avengers: Endgame - The Incredible Storytelling

2019 was a year of disappointing franchise endings. The X-Men franchise crashed and burned with Dark Phoenix, Star Wars delivered an OK but undeniably disappointing Episode IX and Game of Thrones delivered perhaps the disappointing finale to end all disappointing finales.

It was great, then, to see the MCU's Infinity Saga wrap up so well. As things stand this is already a seriously well-made and acted blockbuster that was ingeniously marketed and made three hours disappear like nothing, but what makes this movie so special is that so much effort was put into crafting a flawless ending for the characters.

Virtually all of the character arcs end in an incredibly satisfying way (especially that of Iron Man), there's heartfelt emotion riding through nearly every scene and the film's eventual conclusion is brilliantly bittersweet.

It also ends with perhaps the most emotional, high-stakes finale in MCU history, so make no mistake: Endgame might not be a perfect film but it is an almost-perfect ending to eleven years and 22 films of storytelling.
