The Snowman Review: 1 Up & 9 Downs

Ups...

1. The Terrific Location Work

The Snowman Oslo
Universal

No matter how much the movie sucks, it's hard to deny that it is a rather handsome film for the most part.

Taking advantage of Oslo's gorgeous natural beauty, to the point that it feels like more of a character than most of the movie's actual human beings, the film is nothing if not a fantastic advert for visiting the beautiful country.

Of course, much of its strong showing in the movie is down to Oscar-winning veteran cinematographer Dion Beebe, who at least ensures that a good deal of the film looks ravishing, and is one of the few people involved with this film who definitely did their job to a satisfactory standard.
