The Suicide Squad: Every Character Explained

12. Polka-Dot Man

David Dastmalchian has plenty of previous experience in comic book movies, playing one of the Joker's henchmen in The Dark Knight, and more recently playing Kurt in the Ant-Man and the Wasp franchise. However, in The Suicide Squad, he will take on a role like nothing before.

Polka-Dot Man doesn't sound like the most intimidating villain in the world, but behind the spots of colour are hidden an array of different powers and weapons. Though technically Gunn classes the polka dots as one big weapon, the villain has the ability to command a lot of fire power through them.

The villain, real name Abner Krill, made his comic debut way back in 1962, as a minor villain in the Batman and Robin rogues gallery.

Polka-Dot Man has never had any affiliation with the Suicide Squad in the comics, but this hasn't stopped James Gunn from utilising the incredibly unique character for his movie. The director has a soft spot for obscure, bizarre characters, and with the villain set to contribute greatly toward the unprecedented amount of explosions the movie promises, it seems that Polka-Dot Man ticks all the boxes for The Suicide Squad.
