Now, Captain Boomerang isn't exactly a surefire candidate to 100% survive the whole film, but the odds are stacked in his favour as the loveable (if gross) comedy heart of the franchise.

Indeed, the only way ol' Boomer has a chance of going out is if the film rehashes the plot of his death in the comics at the hands (or rather, laser eyes) of General Zod. And Digger is brought back after that, meaning there's a possibility the same kind of thing will take place on the big screens too.
