The Suicide Squad: Ranking Every Death From Worst To Best

James Gunn’s new version of the Suicide Squad confused many fans with his choices for the team.

While most were characters brand new to the DCEU, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, and Jai Courtney were all set to reprise their roles as Harley Quinn, Rick Flag, Amanda Waller, and Captain Boomerang respectively.

With these four being the only ones brought back from five years earlier, it was only natural to assume there was a reason, and that they would play a big role in the movie. This was only true for three of these characters however.

Jai Courtney’s boomerang throwing villain was killed off along with most of his teammates at the very start of the movie.

As Mongal brought down the helicopter that killed her, Boomerang also got caught up in the explosion. Of all the deaths that came from this half of Task Force X, this was possibly the most shocking, as Courtney’s character was the only one audiences had been able to form any kind of connection to.

Instead of having anything real to do in the movie, he was killed off in a spectacular fashion, as his face was pierced by shards of tree bark, before being sliced by wayward propellers.
