The Suicide Squad: Ranking Every Task Force X Member From Worst To Best
2. Ratcatcher II
Daniela Melchior's role as Ratcatcher II very nearly won her the gold medal on this ranking. She was sensational.
To paraphrase from the Polka-Dot Man entry, you felt empathy for her. She doesn't have anyone aside from the rats, with this creating a euphoric scene when she called upon her rodent friends to take down Starro. The flashback scene of her with her father - Ratcatcher I, for those asking - that then cut back to present time, with tears streaming down her cheeks, was heart-churning material.
There was little to nag on her for because, in a way, she's relatable to viewers of a certain mindset. Ratcatcher II is a millennial. She enjoys her sleep. She has real emotions that aren't just generically happy and/or sad; after all, she was the first to actually welcome King Shark into the fold as a friend, rather than just an ally.
Overall, this was a career-making performance for Daniela Melchior.
