4. Logan On The Skids
Following the tendency for superhero films - and indeed, blockbusters in general - to be darker than ever before after the success of Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, The Wolverine looks to be far more downcast than the preposterous X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Going from the glimpses we see of Wolverine long-haired, generally bedraggled and with a glass of booze at hand, he's not coping too well with the demise of Jean Grey at the end of Brett Ratner's widely-lambasted X-Men: The Last Stand. It seems that, given how previous trailers have shown flashbacks between Logan and Jean, this is going to be weighing heavily on the hero throughout the film, again walking the lonely road of an anti-social superhero. This appears to end when he is summoned to Japan, and makes friends with red-head Japanese mutant Yukio (Rila Fukushima) as well as a love interest of some kind (though I'll get to that in a minute). So, we can expect a more tortured Wolverine than we've ever seen before, which hopefully should make for the character's most intense action scenes yet.
