The World’s End: 10 Reasons to Be Excited

4. The Cast

Let€™s take a quick look at that cast shall we? Obviously you€™ve got Simon Pegg, presumably in the lead role as Gary King (although you never know). Closely behind is Nick Frost, as is tradition, as Andy Knight. King and Knight. Do I detect a chess reference there? You€™ve also got Martin Freeman in the mix,of Hitchhiker€™s Guide fame (amongst other things); the fantastic Paddy Considine (Dead Man€™s Shoes); Eddie Marsan, the antagonist in Considine€™s own recent directorial debut €˜Tyrannosaur€™ and Rafe Spall, who you might remember featured moderately in Prometheus. Each player has firm roots in British comedy; in fact, looking at the cast, which is by no means fully revealed as yet, I€™d have to say we€™re probably looking at one of the finest British comedy ensemble casts in recent years. Hold on to your nuts (or alternatively, boobs) people, with a range of players this awesome, we€™re potentially about to have our faces blown off.
