The Worst Moment Of Every James Bond Film - Ranked

15. Tomorrow Never Dies - Elliot Carver Imitates Martial Arts

The World Is Not Enough
MGM/UA

Tomorrow Never Dies is a thoroughly entertaining Bond film with some awesome scenes, but a few others you'll want to forget as well.

In terms of the worst moment in it, Moneypenny's "Cunning linguist" joke, which was too much even for a Bond film, and the (thoroughly underwhelming) main villain Elliot Carver (Jonathan Pryce) announcing his big evil plan - the dumbest in Bond history without a doubt - stand out considerably, but there's something even worse lurking in there.

The moment where Elliot Carver mocks main Bond Girl Wai Lin (Michelle Yeoh) by sarcastically imitating kung fu might be a brief scene, but it's so bad and so toe-curling that it really stays with you. It's probably the least-dignified moment of poor Jonathan Pryce's career.

If it was intended for comedy, it's not remotely funny nor is it intimidating. It just sucks on every level.
