The Worst Moment Of Every James Bond Film - Ranked

12. Licence To Kill - "I Love Him So Much!"

The World Is Not Enough
MGM/UA

Licence to Kill is an underrated and powerful Bond film, but it does have some issues as well. The biggest one is the film's embarrassing love triangle subplot involving Bond (Timothy Dalton) and two very weak Bond Girls, who were doomed by weak writing and wooden performances.

The worst moment in this love triangle is when Lupe (Talisa Soto) talks to Q (the brilliant, always-missed Desmond Llewelyn) and main Bond Girl Pam Bouvier (Carey Lowell).

Lupe frantically talks about how worried she is about James and says "If anything happens to him, I don't know what I'll do. I love James so much!"

Er... he'd only slept with her once and they barely even know each other! Thanks to the dreadful dialogue and Soto's terrible line-readings, this is about as painful to watch as a Bond scene gets.

Worse still, Pam Bouvier starts acting like a stroppy, jealous teenager and yells "I'll be damned if I help him!" Thankfully, the considerably more rational Q manages to calm her down and she still helps Bond but still, what did Bond see in either of those characters? At the end of the film, he ditches Lupe and goes off with Pam.
