The Worst Moment Of Every James Bond Film - Ranked

8. Spectre - Blofeld Is Bond's Jealous Foster Brother

The World Is Not Enough
MGM

As great as it was to see Blofeld finally return to the franchise properly after a 44-year absence, Spectre fatally bungled his return.

Every single reveal to do with this incarnation of Blofeld is just terrible and not even Christoph Waltz's rock-solid performance can make any of this work. This awful backstory is arguably the worst part of Spectre, the fun but disappointing 24th Bond film.

Blofeld and Bond were foster-brothers for a time after Bond's parents died and Blofeld felt jealous of Bond since he believed his father paid more attention to Bond than to him. Therefore, Blofeld killed his father, faked his own death and then became a big evil super-villain.

Oh, and he's continued his vendetta against Bond because he's still so consumed with petty jealousy, and he was also in charge of the villains in the other Daniel Craig Bond films (a dumb 'Everything is connected' twist if there ever was one).

So, Bond's most iconic, evil and deadly villain is now motivated by a childish sibling rivalry... how the hell did this get approved?! This represents some of the worst writing in Bond history.
