The Worst Moment Of Every James Bond Film - Ranked

7. Thunderball - The Blackmail Scene

The World Is Not Enough
MGM

Thunderball is a good, though not great, Bond film and in terms of standout, truly dire scenes it's actually only got one. It is a particularly dreadful one though.

Bond is nearly assassinated at a clinic but he is rescued by a masseuse (Molly Peters), who he'd already forcibly kissed earlier on, and she asks him not to tell her superiors for she would get into trouble otherwise. Bond then blackmails her into having sex with him in exchange for not telling anyone.

This scene feels completely awful and repellent even for the 1960s and it is one of the most problematic, uncomfortable Bond scenes of them all.
