9. Quentin Beck's Childishness - Spider-Man: Far From Home

Not only did Spider-Man: Far From Home have the unenviable task of following Avengers: Endgame into cinemas just three months after the real conclusion of the Infinity Saga, Far From Home basically acted as the epilogue for the years-long story.

Having Spider-Man take the hands of fans and walk them into a world without Tony Stark was a stroke of genius, as the character is and will always be one of the most popular in Marvel’s arsenal. It didn’t hurt either that he went up against one of the greatest of his ridiculously deep rogues gallery.

Quentin Beck actually continued the Phase Three trend of bringing to life far superior villains than those before them, but there was one niggling aspect of the character that was a huge detriment to him. He came off as unbelievably childish.

He clearly had immense power at his hands with his drones and his tech, and was a very intelligent and cruel villain, but his entire motivation behind attacking London and killing innocent people was because Tony Stark called his illusion tech BARF. Surely, any other motivation would have made Mysterio more compelling rather than acting like a spoiled brat.
