The Worst Thing About Every MCU Film

14. Relying On The Sequel To Fix Plotholes - Guardians Of The Galaxy

Guardians of The Galaxy Power Stone
Marvel Studios

Of every person Yondu could've chosen to abduct from Earth, why did he pick Peter Quill? He said he needed someone who was small to fit into small compartments, but surely Yondu could've picked anyone from his own planet? Why did he go to Earth?

Also, how could six people hold an Infinity Stone when it's been emphasised its powerful enough to destroy a planet? That's like six people holding a nuclear reactor stops it from exploding.

Although both of these plotholes are perfectly explained in the sequel, it feels like lazy writing to wait for another movie to fix the story's inconsistencies.
