15. The Villains Are Hydra. Again. - Captain America: Winter Soldier

Nazis have always been the go-to baddies when a film needs generically evil villains. X-Men. Hellboy. Indiana Jones. This trope has been used so often, it's becoming a little tiresome in recent years.

But because Captain America's origin is set during WWII, it seemed perfectly sensible for him to take on the Nazi-themed terrorists, Hydra, in the original film.

Because the sequel is set in modern day, you'd assume we will Cap facing off against one of his many colourful villains. So, who's the big bad of Captain America: Winter Soldier? MODOK? The Serpent Society? Sin?

Nope. It's Hydra again. Of everyone the writers could've chosen of Cap's rogue gallery, they picked the exact same disposable henchmen as before. Also, the big reveal that Alexander Pierce was the real villain was insultingly obvious.
