These Marvel Heroes Can Rejoin The MCU Soon

3. Jessica Jones - February 18, 2021

Jessica Jones is something of an outlier, where street-level superheroes are concerned. She was once a costumed crimefighter, but after she was manipulated by the Purple Man, she gave up the life and became a private investigator whose life consisted mostly of a tremendous consumption of alcohol, and the alienation of the people closest to her.

Krysten Ritter's portrayal of the titular character was groundbreaking, and the series ran on Netflix for three seasons. Each episode delivered an intense and provocative road to a conclusion that left fans on the edge of their seats, but sadly, Netflix pulled the plug on February 18, 2019.

Jessica Jones got the axe on the same day as The Punisher, which was disturbing for fans, as the third season had yet to hit the streaming service. It finally did drop in its entirety on June 14th, and sadly, there wouldn't be a fourth season fans were hoping to see.

Because of the agreement made between Netflix and Disney, Jessica Jones cannot be reintroduced to the MCU until two years have passed from the date of cancelation. This is good news for fans, seeing as her final season aired four months after she was canceled. As a result, she could return as early as February 18, 2021.
