Thor: 10 Times The MCU Movies Were Better Than The Comics
1. He Always Saw Loki As His Brother
Since his debut, Thor has been at odds with his step-brother, Loki. Almost immediately after Odin adopted the self-proclaimed God of Mischief, Loki has coveted the throne of Asgard. So long as there's a breath left in his body, he will do what he can to seize control over the Nine Realms.
Even though Loki is an outright villain in the films, Thor and The Avengers, we saw a more noble side of him in Thor: The Dark World, after he was forced to work alongside his sibling. Now, long-time readers know the pair have joined forces in the comics on many occasions. However, Loki always makes it clear these partnerships are temporary since he'll backstab Thor, given the opportunity.
Although their alliance may have started off as a means to an end in the MCU, Loki couldn't help bonding with his brother over time. Not only does this allow Thor to come across as more family-oriented and relatable, but it makes the relationship between the two more enriching.
Loki may be Thor's nemesis in the comics but in the movies, he'll always be his brother above all else.
