Thor: 10 Times The MCU Movies Were Better Than The Comics

5. He's Physically Weaker (Which Makes Him More Human)

For years, fans of the MCU have debated who is the strongest member of the Avengers. Is it Hulk? Captain Marvel? Ant-Man? But in the comics, there is no question who the real GOAT is. Thor isn't just the most powerful Avenger - he is among the strongest beings in the universe.

Due to Thor's epic battles, his name is known throughout the cosmos. Over the years, he's triumphed against Apocalypse, The Midgard Serpent, and Exitar the Celestial. He has eliminated monsters who feed on gods, planets, and universes. On multiple occasions, he's thwarted Mangog - a creature with the power of a billion, billion beings. If he had that power-set in the MCU, Thor could've wiped the floor with Thanos in two seconds.

Even though Film Thor is capable of overpowering dozens of Frost Giants, Ultron robots, and Outriders, he is far from invincible. Time and time again, we see the God of Thunder put in his place by Malekith, Kurse, and Hela. Diminishing Thor's powers was a wise move, since it allows us to see him as a relatable person rather than an all-powerful deity.
