Given his fantastic, larger-than-life portrayal of Thors father and King of Asgard Odin in the first film,
The Dark World could provide Anthony Hopkins even more scenery to chew. The casting of Clive Russell as Tyr, the Norse
God of War, could suggest that the two step up to some serious combat, which would be
awesome.

One of the coolest elements of the first Thor was the understated, looming presence of Idris Elbas Heimdall. Given the destruction of the Rainbow Bridge in
Thor, we hope that
The Dark World provides a stage for the Norse God of Vigilance to show his strength as Sentry of Asgard.
