Kurse, and hell-bent on exacting his revenge. The character also has some history with

Former
Doctor Who star Christopher Ecclestone appears in
The Dark World as Malekith, the leader of the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim, who covets the Casket of Ancient Winters (which we see in the first
Thor). This could provide the main plot of the film that features a huge role from Tom Hiddlestones Loki. In the comics, Malekith in unleashed by the King of the Fire Giants,
Surtur, which could suggest we may see more from the nine realms...
