Thor: Love And Thunder - 10 Major New Details You Need To Know

Now that Disney has acquired Fox, the rights to the X-Men and Fantastic Four have returned to Marvel Studios. The impact of that is already being felt with Madripoor set to factor into The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, while Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is expected to include a mutant character from the comic books.

For a while now, there have been rumours about the Silver Surfer making his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Thor: Love and Thunder, but not only did Waititi deny that Christian Bale has been cast as the character, he also outright stated that the Herald of Galactus won't be included in this movie in any way, shape, or form.

This is a shame, but the movie is clearly busy enough as it is without introducing someone who is bound to be a key player across several franchise moving forward. We're bound to see Galactus and the Silver Surfer in the MCU at some point in the near future, but shoehorning either one of them into this film makes no sense.
