Thor: Love And Thunder - 9 Villains Christian Bale Could Play

4. Mephisto

"What?! Mephisto in a Thor movie?!" you say? To that we say, "Shut your mouths and hear us out."

There have been rumors that Thor will face off against and "otherworldly" villain. Now, the logical interpretation of that descriptor would be "alien" or "extraterrestrial", which makes sense. Thor was always a cosmic character, and though in the first two films that cosmic element was filtered through mythology, the third film leaned pretty heavily into the space aspect of his character. Plus, with recent news of the Guardians of the Galaxy making an appearance in Love and Thunder (at least some of them), assuming that the villain would be an alien makes sense. But...

What if "otherworldly" means "extradimensional"? If so, Mephisto definitely fits that bill.

Traditionally a Ghost Rider villain, Mephisto has also tangled with Thor on multiple occasions. His main shtick is making Faustian deals with Marvel's heroes, and there are always strings attached. There's always some unforeseen consequence, and it never ends well for those who made the bargain.

Could Love and Thunder see Thor quite literally making a deal with the devil in an effort to save the woman he loves from cancer, maybe at the cost of his own godly abilities?
