Thor: Love And Thunder - 9 Villains Christian Bale Could Play

1. Gorr The God Butcher

Christian Bale Mephisto
Marvel Comics

Let's be honest: it's going to be Gorr. Not only his he at the top of countless fan lists, but he makes the most sense for the style Waititi has established.

He's definitely the most metal of these villains. The guy has a symbiotic blade called All-Black the Necrosword. HIS TITLE IS THE GOD BUTCHER!

Gorr was the denizen of an unnamed alien planet. As his family was dying, he prayed to the gods to save them, but to no avail. Ever since that day, he harbored biting resentment towards the gods, who he saw as vain, negligent, and cruel. After obtaining the Necrosword, he set out on a campaign of deicide, slaughtering gods of all pantheons to punish them for the callous indifference he perceived.

He is a celestial grim reaper -- a cosmic bogeyman. He makes perfect sense for the plot of Love and Thunder. We've got Thor, a god who has stepped down from his duties; Valkyrie, the new ruler of Asgard; and Jane Foster, who is on the verge of deification, herself. All of them will fall into the cross-hairs of the God Butcher, and all of them will need each other to stop him.
