1. It's One Of The MCU's Weakest Films

It sucks to admit it, but Thor: Love and Thunder isn't just a disappointing sequel to Ragnarok - it's genuinely one of the worst MCU movies to date.

Sure, it's nowhere near the blandness of Thor: The Dark World and doesn't feel as much of a misfire as Eternals, but its wheel-spinning lack of ambition and clear desire to offer the safest, broadest rendition of its story makes it a shockingly vanilla effort.

While few are likely to be left angry by the end result, it is an underwhelming offering all things considered: an acceptable, not-awful way to spend two hours, but leaving very little tangible impression beyond the most superficial amusement.

Given the relatively lukewarm reception to the MCU's fourth phase so far, many were hopeful that Love and Thunder would deliver a surging burst of energy and heart, but it's just not quite there.

These abundant issues accepted, though, Love and Thunder does deliver on some of its promises. And so, here's what it gets right...
