Loki's plans for his archenemy Thor are often devious and sinister. Very occasionally though, they'll live up to his title as the God of Mischief.

Journey into Mystery #88 features the ominously titled The Vengeance of Loki. The story started with one of every superhero's worst nightmares coming true, Loki learned Thor's secret identity. Using this knowledge, he was able to trick his brother into leaving Mjolnir on the ground while he went to rescue Jane Foster. Loki then sealed the hammer in an unbreakable force-field.

Another one of the arbitrary rules surrounding Thor is that if he was separated from Mjolnir for over 60 seconds, he would turn back into Donald Blake. With no way to grab his hammer, Thor was depowered and Loki was free to wreak his terrible vengeance upon the world.

It was... surprisingly whimsical. Loki used his magic to turn cars into ice-cream and buildings into candy. Sure it was inconvenient, but it was certainly a long way off trying to murder all Agardians with an army of zombies.

Even Loki's defeat at the end of the story was ripped straight from a comedy. Don tricked him into thinking he had reclaimed Mjolnir by building a Thor dummy. When Loki dropped the force-field to check the hammer was still there, Don jumped out from behind the dummy and grabbed it.
