16. Skurge's Accent

Karl Urban is a great character actor and when he was cast as Hela's sidekick Skurge, it looked like a great match. Sadly, though, Urban took the direction to develop an "Asgardian" accent as an invitation to go and presumably watch Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins on a loop.

His accent is horrifically off-putting - a sort of weird, mangled Cockney that makes absolutely no sense in Ashard's hierarchy. Everyone else in trusted positions in Asgard's "government" speaks in a Received Pronunciation sort of way (like the Queen, or Tom Hiddleston, who seems to be the real reference point). But Skurge is a Cockney wide-boy. Not even Idris Elba is Cockney in it, and he's an actual Cockney, so why Urban went there is just baffling.
