3. Surtur

The demon Surtur bookends the movie (as was - again needlessly - revealed by the trailers), and his destruction of Asgard directly references the end of the final Ragnarok, when Thor allows him to storm his home to stop the endless cycle of death and rebirth for the Norse Gods (in Thor #2, from December 1984).

He comes wielding his terrifying storm Twilight as well.

He's voiced by Clancy Brown, who has actually appeared in a Marvel film before - albeit an animated one. He voiced Odin in 2010's The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
