Thor: Ragnarok Trailer - 9 Big Questions We're Left With

1. How Does The Doctor Strange/Odin Subplot Fit Into All This?

From this brief teaser trailer alone, it's clear that there's a lot going on in Thor: Ragnarok.

We've got a subplot featuring Heimdall, the Thor vs Hulk gladiator battle, Hela's backstory, Valkyrie's backstory, and that's without mentioning the titular Ragnarok event itself, as well as possibly seeing Thor's search for the Infinity Stones, a quest teased during Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

It's a lot for the film to focus on, and we haven't even factored in what's possibly the most enticing story thread of them all; Doctor Strange teaming up with Thor to help locate Odin, who's stranded somewhere in New York.

Where does this fit into an already packed film, considering the trailer paid this side-mission absolutely no attention whatsoever?

We do see Thor on Earth at the start of the trailer, so is this Doctor Strange team-up the sequence that opens the film? If yes, that doesn't explain why Thor is in civilian clothes in set photos...

...but back to his Asgardian garb by the time he confronts Hela in the alleyway.

Could it be that Thor gets his hammer destroyed while hunting for Odin, and is essentially stranded in New York (since his hammer has been shown to help him travel in previous movies), so he goes for a change of clothes and continues the search for his father, to help him get back to Asgard?

It's all very hard to piece together, but luckily, we only have to wait a little over six months for answers.
