Tom Holland's Movies Ranked Worst To Best
6. Captain America: Civil War
Introduced as casually as anyone else would mention what they had for lunch yesterday, Tony Stark mentions that he knows a kid that might be able to help him and his team out. He flies to Queens and begins casually flirting with a certain Aunt May, waiting for a young Peter Parker to get home from school.
The Russo Brothers were up against it, introducing Spider-Man into the MCU without utilising his traditional backstory and in a film that ostensibly wasn't about him. Spider-Man and Black Panther were both brought into the MCU fold in a way that meant we didn't a great deal of back-story for either of them and had to contend them with a huge cast of almost every other super-hero that had appeared on screen before them.
While all this seems daunting, when Spider-Man swooped onto the screen for the first time it was clear that this mission had been accomplished. Tom's performance brings a heartfelt commitment to delivering audiences the Spider-Man that they deserve and the youthful exuberance that makes Peter Parker so loveable.
While not his film, Tom certainly shared enough of the spotlight in order to bring his own brand of a classic character to the forefront.
