Tom Holland's Movies Ranked Worst To Best
14. Pilgrimage
Set in medieval Ireland, Pilgrimage is noted for the level of gore and violence that suits the time period, while being something of a gruelling slog of a movie. With Richard Armitage and Jon 'The Punisher' Bernthal leading the cast with out Tom, a group of monks must make their way across the country in order to deliver a holy relic to the Pope.
Treachery, madness, torture and fanatical devotion to a worthless cause all follow as the monks are hunted at every turn. A desperate tale of grim medieval survival that's reminiscent of Sean Bean's similar film Black Death, Pilgrimage isn't for the feint hearted, but certainly for fans of gruesome combat.
While Tom's Brother Diarmuid is ostensibly the lead in the film, it's Jon Bernthal's The Mute that steals the show, with his tendency to being just as dangerous as he looks fulfilling an age-old trope. Worth a watch, but not an easy watch.
