Tomorrowland Super Bowl Trailer: "Do You Want To Go?"

Damon Lindelof, co-writer of Tomorrowland, brings with him an association to JJ Abrams, and Abrams' so-called Mystery Box. As such, Tomorrowland has been produced under as much secrecy as Disney could manage. This only makes every trailer and glimpse of footage more exciting. This Super Bowl pretty much had me on the edge of my seat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksax9gbhIhE There's a lot I know about Tomorrowland that isn't anywhere in that trailer at all. Did you see any trace of humanoid robots, for example? But at the same time, some of that trailer sideswiped me entirely. I had no idea that rocket ship at the end was going to come into play - the business with the pin badge makes it look Tomorrowland is accessed through a kind of teleportation, not space travel, so I'm really not sure what's going on there. And that was our first look at Hugh Laurie as David Nix, Governor of Tomorrowland, the film's chief antagonist and a man obsessed with technology and power. It's great casting, and I look forward to seeing him spar with George Clooney. Director Brad Bird's three animated films - The Iron Giant, The Incredibles and Ratatouille - are exceptional, and his live action film, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol - was certainly exciting and enjoyable. There's every reason, I think, to look forward to Tomorrowland. I can't believe I'm this far into a night of blogging about Super Bowl trailers and I haven't made a superb owl joke yet.
