Type of time travel: Loop to the past Mode of transport: Unknown Not a traditional time travel movie, it is still being included in this list for a few reasons€”the chief reason being that it concerns going back to the past and changing events. Of course the original idea here is that the main character is stuck in a time loop and must find a way out of it€”but none the less it still deals with the ideas of going back in time and changing things for the better. It€™s also interesting that the film€™s director, Harold Ramis, decided not to actually explain the time loop€”it was supposedly a voodoo curse by the way€”and instead concentrates on Bill Murray€™s character and his journey from egotistical jerk weatherman to the understanding and caring man he becomes whilst being trapped in the time loop.
