2. The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
Henry Selick's The Nightmare Before Christmas, produced and co-written by Tim Burton, is a beautifully animated film. A wonderful concept of interlinking the contrasting festive seasons of Halloween and Christmas make this cult cartoon classic a Christmas favourite. With Jack Skellington (King of Halloween Town) bored of his ritual routine of celebrating Halloween, his exposure to the wonders of Christmas Town enlightens him, although he doesn't quite get to grips with the Christmas spirit. Not to mention how nightmarish a skeleton Santa would seem to kids at first, even if he does mean well. By not judging a book by its cover, the Pumpkin King sure does make a spine-tingling memorable Santa! The soaring success of The Nightmare Before Christmas has even led to the film being re-released in 3D format. As for the number 1 Santa Claus... *drumroll* ...
