Top 5 Most Over-Saturated Actors of Recent Times

2. Michael Fassbender

Fan-Cast As: Batman, James Bond, Daredevil, Any Rugged Action Hero, Any Hopeless Protagonist, Any Role Viggo Mortensen Won't Do Because of How Mainstream It Is, Christian Grey, Probably My Grandmother As far as fan-casting goes, it's pretty impossible to get away from Michael Fassbender. He's practically everywhere you turn. And I think he's good, in fact, I think he's excellent; but the people claiming he needs to jump into a "comic book movie role" need to realize that the guy's done it already...three times. He's the classic example of the guy we saw in spots of films who showed up in X-Men: First Class and stole our hearts with his emotionally devastating and badass Magneto. Then, he went and showed everyone up in Shame. Then, got beat up by Gina Carano in the best fight scene in Haywire. I don't doubt the fact that he's awesome. He's practically the Liam Neeson/Gary Oldman combo who's being utilized correctly in his prime years. But no more franchise or superhero roles, please. For his sake. He's been called reminiscent of Peter O'Toole and deserves to explore his options; not be sedated into the newest Batman franchise.

Cameron Carpenter is an aspiring screenwriter, current film and journalism student, and self-diagnosed cinephile, which only sounds bad in certain circles. Devoted fan of comics, movies, theater, Jesus Christ, Sidney Lumet, and Peter O'Toole, he sometimes spends too much time on his Scribd and comicbookmovie.com, but doesn't think you're one to judge, devoted reader. You can follow him on Twitter to watch him talk to people you didn't know exist. Oh, and Daredevil is quite the big deal around here (my head).
