Transformers: The Last Knight Review: 5 Ups & 6 Downs

2. It Has Its Own "Martha!" Moment

Last year, the infamous "Martha!" scene from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice became a worldwide joke, as comic book fans couldn't stop mocking it, due to how horrendously it ruined a potentially powerful movie moment.

Though few are exactly holding up the fifth Transformers movie with the same expectations as they would Batman v Superman, the film nevertheless has its own spin on the Martha scene.

No spoilers here, but it involves Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, during a pivotal moment in the third act, where much like the Martha scene, a resolution is suddenly brought about by a nonsensical, almost deus ex machina moment.

It's an eye-roller, and while unlikely to get as much press as the Martha scene, is still probably the most stunningly inane moment in the entire film (and that's really saying something).
