It's a shame that the series' titular character had so little do in Legacy. Though he was Rinzler, Tron as fans know him only appeared in flashback, spending the entirety of the movie silently masked until recognising Flynn and sacrificing himself to stop Clu. Last seen sinking into the Sea of Simulation as his suit colors began to return to normal, Tron was practically cast as a supporting player in a movie where his name was one half of the title. With Tron 3, Disney has the opportunity to bring Tron into full glory and allow him to be the hero of the series he should be, shedding his history as Rinzler to keep fighting for the users. Now that Clu is out of the picture and the budget allotted to de-aging Jeff Bridges is freed up, it could be shifted over to Bruce Boxleitner, giving the actor - who has always championed the series - his due in bringing the character to life without Rinzler's mask obscuring his face. They'll undoubtedly be more of Alan Bradley in the sequel, which is a good thing, but it's undeniably time for Tron himself to have his spotlight back. What do you want from Tron 3?
